The PsychOpen GOLD team from the Leibniz Institute for Psychologie (ZPID) is pleased to announce the addition of a new journal to its portfolio. "Research for People in Organizations" (RPiO) is now being published on the Diamond Open Access platform and is open for submissions.
RPiO is a peer-reviewed journal that provides a platform for qualitative and quantitative research to promote and develop individuals, teams, and organizations. With a strong emphasis on evidence-based research, the journal strives to address individuals' diverse challenges and opportunities in today's dynamic work environments.
The Editors-in-Chief of the new journal (Prof. Dr. Annette Kluge, Jun.-Prof. Dr. Marcel Kern, and Prof. Dr. Vera Hagemann) bring extensive expertise in work, organizational, and business psychology. RPiO focuses on psychological research that directly contributes to the well-being and development of people in organizations. The editors' goal is to publish scientific findings that are relevant and applicable to both researchers and practitioners. A unique feature of RPiO articles is the "Contribution for People" section: Here, authors are required to explicitly explain how their results contribute to improving the well-being of individuals, teams, or organizations.
As part of the PsychOpen GOLD platform, RPiO will be completely free of charge for readers, authors, and editors. The platform from the Leibniz Institute for Psychologie (ZPID) provides the technical infrastructure and offers professional editorial management as well as state-of-the-art article production. In addition, PsychOpen GOLD supplies relevant indices and supports the implementation of open science practices such as Registered Reports or the integration of research data and materials into the PsychArchives repository.
"We are delighted to add RPiO to our portfolio, a journal dedicated to application-oriented psychological research with a clear focus on human and interpersonal aspects within organizations," says Dr. Gerrit Fröhlich, Product Manager at PsychOpen GOLD. "Together with the journals' focus on readers from relevant practical fields, this supports our goal of making psychological research accessible to the general public."
Interested authors are invited to submit their manuscripts. The journal's website provides further information about the journal and author guidelines.
