Accessibility Statement

The Leibniz Institute for Psychology (ZPID) is committed to making its website, www.leibniz-psychology.org, accessible to all users. This accessibility statement applies to this website.

Legal Basis

This statement complies with the requirements of the Rhineland-Palatinate State Law on Equality for People with Disabilities (LGGBehM) and the Rhineland-Palatinate Ordinance on Accessible Information Technology (BITV RP), which implements EU Directive 2016/2102.

Status of Compliance with Requirements

The website is partially accessible in accordance with the above-mentioned requirements. We are continuously working to further improve accessibility.

Non-Accessible Content

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:
Videos: Captions and audio descriptions are currently missing for most videos in our media library; text alternatives are gradually being added for videos published on or after September 23, 2020.
Texts in plain language: A plain-language version is available for only one page about the institute.
Sign language videos: A sign language translation is not available.
PDF documents / downloadable materials: Some are not accessible, as older files are not available in an accessible format.

Reasoning

Some of the content is currently not accessible, as implementing accessibility would constitute a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the BITV. However, we are working to make new content accessible and to gradually adapt existing content.

Preparation of This Statement

This statement was prepared on June 25, 2025, and updated on July 6, 2026.
The assessment is based on a self-assessment using an automated testing tool (Siteimprove) as well as manual testing.
