The advisory board of ZPID - Leibniz Institute for Psychology Information has been reconstituted in its recent meeting. Chairwoman of the advisory board is now Prof. Dr. Katharina Scheiter. She is head of the Multiple Representations Lab at the Leibniz-Institute für Wissensmedien (IWM) in Tübingen. The committee appointed Andreas Glöckner, Professor of Cognitive Psychology: Judgment, Decision Making, Action at the University of Hagen as deputy chairman.

"I am looking forward to the responsible task of supporting ZPID in advisory capacity over the next four years as it implements its diverse plans for the future," says Scheiter. "The institute fulfills an important task in psychology and its related disciplines - particularly now, when discussions about open science, evidence-based research and the replicability of research findings determine not only internal scientific discourse, but also public discourse".

According to Scheiter, ZPID is in a very good position to support scientists in their work and contributes to quality assurance in science with its own research. "Being a direct witness of these developments is exciting and also very instructive for one's own work as well as for considerations regarding the design of research processes at the IWM."

Scheiter follows Prof. Dr. Werner Greve (University of Hildesheim Foundation) as chairwoman of the advisory board. He held the position for more than five years. "I would like to thank Werner Greve for his outstanding commitment to the continuous development of ZPID into a Public Open Science Institute. At the same time, I am looking forward to working with Katharina Scheiter," says Prof. Dr. Michael Bosnjak, Director of ZPID.

The advisory board of ZPID consists of ten members. Alongside Scheiter, Glöckner and Greve there are: Prof. Dr. Michael Krämer (President of the BDP), Prof. Dr. Antje Michel (University of Applied Sciences Potsdam), Prof. Dr. Jochen Musch (Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf), Prof. Dr. Vivien Petras (Humboldt University Berlin), Dr. Ute-Regina Roeder (University of Münster), PD Dr. Felix Schönbrodt (University of Munich) and Prof. Dr. Hannelore Weber (Rector of the Ernst Moritz Arndt University Greifswald).
