At the beginning of 2022, Prof. Dr. Claudia Dalbert will take over as acting director of the Leibniz Institute for Psychology (ZPID) in Trier.
Claudia Dalbert was born in Cologne in 1954, studied psychology at the University of Trier, earned her doctorate and worked as a research assistant. In the course of her scientific career, she habilitated at the University of Tübingen in 1995 before being appointed full university professor of psychology at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg in 1998. From April 2016 to September 2021, she accompanied the office of Minister for the Environment, Agriculture and Energy of the State of Saxony-Anhalt and acted as second deputy to the Minister President of the State of Saxony-Anhalt.
She has long been associated with the Leibniz Institute of Psychology and the city of Trier. From 2005 to 2012, she was deputy chair of the board of trustees and from 2013 to 2017, she was a member of the administrative board of the Leibniz Institute for Psychology Information (ZPID). "I have known ZPID from day one," Claudia Dalbert reports. "When I was offered to take over as acting director, I was very happy to accept. In my position, I will support the Institute as best as I can in its ongoing development. Here I can continue the successful path that ZPID has taken in recent years until a new director is appointed."
