Before Christmas 2024, Ministerial Director Katharina Heil paid a visit to the team at the Leibniz Institute of Psychology (ZPID) in Trier. As the person responsible for science, Heil was keen to get to know the new research areas at ZPID. “It was a great pleasure to see the valuable work of the institute for myself and to take this opportunity to meet the new junior professors. The promotion of young scientists is of crucial importance to the state government, as it forms the basis for forward-looking developments and innovations in research. The ZIPD's research on science acceptance, meta-analyses and big data is particularly important in the current climate,” says Katharina Heil.

In October and November 2024, three researchers took up junior professorships with tenure track in a joint appointment by the Leibniz Institute of Psychology (ZPID) and Trier University. Marlene Altenmüller is Junior Professor of Science Acceptance, Kinga Bierwiaczonek is Junior Professor of Psychological Metascience and Frederic Hopp is Junior Professor of Big Data in Psychology. Katharina Heil also took the opportunity to talk to Director Prof. Dr. Kai Sassenberg and Managing Director Dr. Gabriel Schui.
