At the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Faculty of Medicine, Profile Centre for Health Sciences, at the VISTA Research School are available 11 positions in part-time (65%) as
Research Associate (PhD student) (m-f-d)
for a fixed term of 3 years starting from 01.10.2025.
Remuneration will be determined based on job duties and responsibilities and will be aligned with the fulfillment of listed personal requirements, up to pay grade 13 under the TV-L (Tarifvertrag für den Öffentlichen Dienst der Länder – 'German Public Service Pay Agreement for the Federal States').
Several institutes and working groups at the Faculty of Medicine collaborate at the Profile Centre for Health Sciences (PZG) https://www.umh.de/pzg. This strengthens interdisciplinary and cross-institutional cooperation. The PZG doctoral programme VISTA-GRK is located in the field of health services research in the context of a transforming environment and an ageing society. It investigates topics related to prevention and care in society in the context of climate change, the biodiversity crisis, social inequality and limited resources, and designs and evaluates interventions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Development and implementation of a research project on the topic of the research school.
- Qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis and documentation
- Preparation of literature syntheses
- Preparation and publication of study results in scientific journals
- Participation in the structured doctoral programme and joint events
- Opportunity for individual academic qualification within the framework of a doctoral degree
Requirements:
- Completed academic degree (Master's degree, diploma, state examination or comparable degree) in health sciences, nursing science, public health, human medicine, biology, law, statistics, sociology, psychology, philosophy or a related subject
- Research experience in the field of health care research is advantageous
- Very good knowledge of the English language
- Knowledge of German or willingness to learn German
- Scientific creativity and independence are particularly desirable
- Organisational skills and strong teamwork skills
