Since 1992, the prize is granted for outstanding achievements in psychological research that are of high practical relevance. The prize is sponsored by the Association of German Professional Psychologists (BDP), the Federal Chamber of Psychotherapists (BPtK), the German Psychological Society (DGPs) and, for the first time, by ZPID - Leibniz Institute for Psychology Information.
"We are very pleased that ZPID has the opportunity to participate in this high-ranking award", says ZPID director Prof. Michael Bosnjak. "We derive our commitment to the German Psychology Prize from our mission to support top-class psychological research that is practice related at the same time."
The German Psychology Prize, endowed with 10,000 euros, is awarded every two years. The ceremony will take place at the end of this year in Berlin.
