ZPID Director Appointed as Member to Health Monitoring Commission of Robert Koch Institute

The members are asked to make recommendations on how health reporting and health monitoring in Germany can be further developed.

Michael Bosnjak

Prof. Dr. Michael Bosnjak, Director of the Leibniz Institute for Psychology Information (ZPID), has been appointed as a member to the commission "Federal Health Reporting and Health Monitoring" (GBEMON) of the Robert Koch Institute. Among other things, the members are asked to make recommendations on how health reporting and health monitoring in Germany can be further developed.

Bosnjak has been appointed as member due to his more than 20 years of experience in the field of psychological data collection procedures and survey research. He will hold the honorary position for four years. The commission is composed of members from the health sciences, the public health service and local government as well. The perspective of patients is also taken into account. 

Federal Health Reporting (Gesundheitsberichterstattung des Bundes, GBE) supplies data and information on the German general public's state of health and the country's healthcare services; ranging from diseases, symptoms and risk factors to subjective well-being and health-related quality of life, utilization of preventive and healthcare services as well as the structures and related therewith.
