Chris Chambers strives to make scientific research more transparent and promotes study preregistration. In January, the psychology professor will give a keynote talk at ZPID.

He is called the initiator of the »Registration Revolution«, Chris Chambers. The psychology professor at Cardiff University, GB, strives to make scientific research more transparent and promotes study preregistration. Chambers will be one of the keynote speakers at a workshop in Trier where issues related to registered reports will be discussed.

The event is organized by the Leibniz Institute for Psychology Information (ZPID) and addresses researchers, publishers and institutions likewise. Since each audience has different needs there will be separate workshops meeting the various demands during the event.

Furthermore, we were able to attract Joe Cesario, co-founding editor of one of the first preregistration-only journals, Comprehensive Results in Social Psychology, as keynote speaker. His main topic will be his experience with peer-reviewed preregistration.

The Leibniz Institute for Psychology Information itself will be offering an open access journal exclusively dedicated to registered reports. ZPID director Michael Bosnjak and deputy director Erich Weichselgartner will present the project to the workshop’s participants.
