Launch of the new website of the RDC at ZPID

New portal for the publication and subsequent use of psychological research data

The RDC at ZPID is the research data center at the Leibniz Institute for Psychology (ZPID). It now offers improved support services for its users in a new design.

The federal German Data Forum RatSWD has accredited the RDC, which confirms the high qualitative standards that this research data infrastructure meets. Users can now benefit from numerous informational and structural support services for dealing with psychological research data.

"With the launch of the new website of the RDC at ZPID, researchers in psychology are supported in all matters relating to the sharing and re-use of research data," says Katarina Blask, Operational Manager for the Research Data Center at the Leibniz Institute for Psychology (ZPID). "In particular, the comprehensive knowledge base on all relevant topics of research data management (RDM), study- and project-specific RDM advice, as well as an improved view and browsing of information on our database, enable quality-assured sharing and use of psychological research data."

In addition to the improved user guidance and the extensive support services for sharing and using psychological research data, the innovations in the presentation of the research datasets ensure an improved user experience. For example, on the overview page of the database, the files contained in each published data corpus and their sharing level are displayed. This means that users know immediately which content they can obtain under which conditions. In addition, all metadata (including codebooks) are now displayed in a fully searchable manner and can be downloaded directly as PDF documents. The improved user experience of the RDC's new web presence is rounded off by an easy and fast search of our datasets.

The updated and improved website of the RDC at ZPID can now be visited at: https://www.rdc-psychology.org
