Just Released: First Issue of New Journal Clinical Psychology in Europe (CPE)

The aim of CPE is to become one of the leading journals of clinical psychology and psychological treatments in Europe. It is published at ZPID’s PsychOpen GOLD.

"With the release of CPE's inaugural issue we make a big step towards an open and integrative forum for research in clinical psychology in Europe. The first issue already gives an idea of the comprehensive and evidence based perspective taken by this journal. We are proud to host Clinical Psychology in Europe on our platform", says Armin Günther, Managing Editor of PsychOpen GOLD.

In their editorial Editor-in-Chief Winfried Rief and Managing Editor Cornelia Weise explain why this new journal is needed: "Not because we feel the need to add another obscure new journal to the field, but because we are keen to have a journal that is committed to encouraging a modern and self-critical discussion in the scientific community, to have a journal that is open-minded about topics considered for publication, to have a journal that increases the visibility of our field of research and to have a journal that provides innovative ideas for future research in clinical psychology."

CPE offers full Open Access for readers and authors, there are no Article Processing Charges. It is the official journal of the European Association of Clinical Psychology and Psychological Treatment (EACLIPT) and the Editorial Board comprises outstanding internationally renowned experts from the field.

The journal welcomes research conducted both in and outside of Europe covering multiple approaches, topics and conceptual views that contribute to advances in clinical psychological science. The goal is to provide a platform of exchange, not only publishing empirical research articles, but the broad variety of research efforts such as keynote lectures or scientific updates as well.

PsychOpen GOLD is the European Open-Access Publishing Platform for Psychology, provided by the Leibniz Institute for Psychology Information (ZPID), Trier, Germany.
