Lisa Spitzer delivered one of two keynote speeches at the PMGS Meta Research Symposium in October 2025. The conference took place at the Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. The title of her keynote speech was “Facilitating and Fostering Preregistration: Insights from a Meta-Scientific PhD Project.” She shared insights from her meta-scientific PhD project that focused mainly on preregistration, which she completed last year. In her studies, she investigated what influences researchers’ intention to preregister, motivations and potential obstacles, and how preregistration can be facilitated.
This Symposium of the Paul Meehl Graduate School is designed to bring together both early-career researchers and established experts to exchange ideas, share experiences, and build a supportive community in the field of meta-science. At the symposium, empirical findings and theoretical work with a strong focus on meta-scientific topics were presented.
