At the professorship for Clinical Intervention and Global Mental Health, we seek to develop accessible, scalable, and evidence-based tools to assess and treat mental health disorders. Our current research focuses on a newly introduced mental health disorder, prolonged grief disorder, and the psychological sequala The successful applicant will work with the head of the Department, Prof Dr Clare Killikelly and Post Doctoral candidate.

Your responsibilities

We are looking for a PhD student who will manage and conduct a large-scale international research project. The project will explore the longitudinal trajectory of prolonged grief symptoms using fine-grained experience sampling methods. You will be responsible for assisting with project planning, recruiting participants, complex statistical data analysis and the write-up of peer-reviewed manuscripts. Experience and interest in working with mobile apps and experience sampling methodology desirable. Interest in learning app development and programming desirable.

Your profile

  • a Master's psychology or a related discipline
  • experience with experimental research
  • excellent method knowledge and skills;
  • very good command of English, fluent in German
  • interest and experience working in mental health

In addition, it would be desirable if you had:

  • experience with publishing in international journals
  • programming skills
  • experience with mathematical / computational modeling / machine learning
  • experience using mobile apps in the research context
