Adjunct faculty in the fields of Behavioral economics, Forensic and criminal psychology, Sexual orientation and gender diversity, Educational psychology, Conflict resolution/peace psychology, and/or Interpersonal communication/nonverbal behavior

We are looking for Adjunct faculty (f/m/d) in the Psychology Department for course instruction at undergraduate level in the fields of

  • Behavioral economics
  • Forensic and criminal psychology
  • Sexual orientation and gender diversity
  • Educational psychology
  • Conflict resolution/peace psychology
  • Interpersonal communication/nonverbal behavior

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparation for the course and each class meeting (course material can be provided)
  • Pedagogical supervision of students’ academic progress related to the course
  • Development, proctoring and evaluation of exams (and/or any other form of assessment)
  • Punctual submission of grades by the stipulated deadlines
  • Maintaining digital records of assignments, exams or tools of assessment and transferring them to the Department following the completion of the course

Adjunct Faculty members at the undergraduate level shall have at least one of the following:

  • Hold a master’s degree or higher in a discipline that is relevant to the content of the course taught,

or

  • Have tested experience, which must include a master’s degree or higher and at least five years of professional experience, in a discipline that is relevant to the content of the course taught.

Total compensation within the framework of a contract is agreed at a total gross remuneration of € 4.000, - at undergraduate level. With regard to the relevant social security legislation, the Adjunct Faculty is considered an employee under § 4 Abs. 2 ASVG. The paid out remuneration is therefore subject to deductions for Austrian social insurance and federal income tax deduction. Courses at WVPU are delivered over a 12-week period, 3 hours per week excluding breaks (September to December, February to May), followed by break and exam week.
