In Auditory/Cognitive Neuroscience
(E13 TV-L, working hours 100%)
limited until 13.12.2025 as a parental leave replacement. The position is suitable for part-time work.
The research associate will join the vibrant interdisciplinary research community of the Cluster of Excellence Hearing4all hearing4all.de/en/ working in the field of auditory/cognitive neuroscience and neuroimaging to understand auditory processing in the healthy and hearing impaired human brain. Depending on the field of expertise of the candidate several topics are possible, one topic of specific interest is neuromodulation of auditory processing.
Tasks include:
- Planning of experimental studies contributing to the above topic
- Volunteer/patient recruitment, data acquisition and analysis
- Presentation of results at meetings/conferences and publication in peer-reviewed journals
Recruitment requirements:
- Completed scientific university studies (Diploma (Uni)/ Master) in the field of psychology, neuroscience, medicine, physics or a related discipline
- Track record of excellent scientific work demonstrated by a PhD and good publication record
- Experience/Knowledge in at least one neuroimaging method ((f)MRI, MEG, fNIRS) or neuromodulatory approach documented by prior publications
- Good spoken and written English language skills
- Advantageous are:
- Good programming skills (e.g. matlab, python)
- Prior experience with auditory studies
- German language skills
