Research Associate (m/f/d)
in the field of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology
The position is part of the externally funded project: „Freezing as an Underlying Mechanism of Silence in Children with Selective Mutism “according to §2 WissZeitVG and §72 HessHG with opportunity for own scientific qualification at the department of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology and Sports Science. The salary is in accordance with the collective labour agreement of the State of Hessen (E 13 TV-H).
You will be employed for a period of 3 years, provided that the maximum permissible duration of temporary employment is not exceeded.
Your tasks at a glance
- Scientific collaboration in a DFG-funded project
- Creation and programming of experimental paradigms
- Acquisition of participants: children with selective mutism, social anxiety disorder and typically developing children
- Implementation and feedback of the diagnostics
- Conduct of the experimental study
- Data management, data processing and data analysis
- Publication of data in scientific journals
- Instruction and supervision of student assistants, interns, and graduate students
The provision of academic services (including the processing of a research project financed by third party funds on a temporary basis) also serves the purpose of academic qualification.
Your qualifications and competences
- Completed scientific university studies in the field of psychology or a related subject
- Very good theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of clinical child psychology, experience in diagnostics and dealing with the disorders selective mutism and social anxiety disorders in childhood and adolescence is an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of statistics and research methodology
- Experience in project management and programming and computerized experimental design and statistical analysis is an advantage
- Very good knowledge of the English language
- Very good ability to work in a team
