Postdoctoral Fellow Position (100%) (m/f/d)
In ultra-high-resolution 7 Tesla functional MRI of memory and imagery functions. The position is limited to three years, starting June 2023.
The successful candidate will conduct fMRI experiments probing hippocampal subfield contributions to autobiographical memory and how these subfields interact with other neocortical regions, e.g. the ventromedial prefrontal cortex. Experiments with memory-impaired patients (due to medial temporal lobe and prefrontal cortex damage) will also be performed.
The ideal candidate will be a highly-motivated, team-oriented postgraduate fellow with a strong background in cognitive neuroimaging and its clinical application in temporal lobe epilepsy. Ideally, the candidates should have prior research experience with neuroimaging (ideally 7 Tesla fMRI), experimental neuropsychology, episodic memory and experience working with temporal lobe epilepsy patients. Candidates are required to hold a PhD degree or equivalent in clinical neuroscience, psychology, neuroimaging or a related field. Candidates with Medical degrees are also encouraged to apply. Candidates should also demonstrate aptitude in written and spoken English. Fluent German is also a requirement since extensive testing of patients will be conducted in German.
