Projektdetails

Funding: German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)
Grant Term: 2 years (2017-2019)
Project Manager: Prof. Dr. Michael Bosnjak
Project Partner: Prof. Dr. Katja Lozar Manfreda, Prof. Dr. Valentina Hlebec (University of Ljubljana, Slovenia)
Project Staff: Veronika Batzdorfer, Tanja Burgard

Project description

Both teams will cooperate in several streams of salient topics in contemporary data collection methodology, which have been selected based on a preliminary systematic review conducted by the involved researchers (Bošnjak, Lozar Manfreda, Čehovin), revealing blind sports in current research.

The proposed project will decisively contribute to (1) provide insights into current and prospective usage scenarios of meta-analysis in data collection methodology, especially in relation to operating data collection infrastructures such as PsychLab online/offline; (2) Insights into the cognitive processes of respondent’s behavior in relation to response time measurement in Web surveys; (3) Insights into usability research in data collection applications, particularly in questionnaires for smartphones, apps for implementing mobile questionnaires, questionnaires for specific target groups, and validation of time measurements.

Collaboration between the two teams will facilitate the sharing of complementary theoretical knowledge, complementary methodological experiences, and location-specific research facilities required to fulfill the scientific goals.
