W2-level professorship in Cognitive Neuropsychology and Development (m/f/d)
The Department of Psychology at Trier University, Germany, invites applications for the position of a Professor of Cognitive Neuropsychology and Development (W2-level professorship). The prospective candidate (m/f/d) should represent the field of neuropsychology in an appropriate scope. It is expected that the candidate conducts basic research and teaches in neuropsychology with relations to the field of developmental psychology.
It is desired that the candidate complements the existing main research fields, especially regarding cognitive psychology and neuropsychology and, additionally, regarding the development of personality and competence.
The prospective candidate takes an active part in teaching at the bachelors and masters level. Besides teaching in the field of cognitive neuropsychologyand development,itis expected that the candidate engages in the teaching of research methods (psychological assessment, experimental research).
We are looking for an internationally recognized colleaguewith a well-established national andinternational network. The official tasks result from the Higher Education Act of Rhineland-Palatinate (§ 48 HochSchG – Higher Education Act). Applicants must meet the general requirements according to public services law andthe Higher Education Act of Rhineland-Palatinate (§ 49 HochSchG – Higher Education Act), especially regarding didactic aptitude and exceptional academic ability and achievements. In particular, the candidate needs to provide a postdoctoral lecture qualification (Habilitation) or comparable scientific achievements, international publications in peer-reviewed journals,and third-party grants. We expect the ability to teach in German.
